BARRANQUILLA CARNIVAL WELCOME-FEST
Ajá… are you ready to live the time of your life?
Barranquilla’s leading institutions have created your official passport to happiness — the warm-up for Carnival 2026, right here in La Arenosa, the sunniest and most joyful city on Earth.
It’s designed to give you a real immersion in Carnival events, starting on January 17 with the first major celebration, “La Lectura del Bando,” and building in an ever-rising vibe through numerous events until High Season explodes on February 14.
And here’s the best part:
This is not a tour. This is how locals live Carnival.”
Barranquilla Welcome Fest is designed so you’re not just an out-of-the-fences spectator, but a true participant. This for you to learn how to dance like shakira or get your ultimate, world-class opportunity to join the parade—dancing shoulder to shoulder with a Congo de Oro–winning Carnival troupe, right in the very heartbeat of Carnival.
No dance experience required. You rehearse before you parade. Bilingual and guided every step by Carnival professionals. Designed for international visitors. You don’t watch the parade — you become part of it.
You begin on a Monday (February 2 or 9) with expert, curated guidance on Barranquilla and Carnival, Carnival troupe rehearsals, and immersive tours that reveal the wonders of Barranquilla and its surrounding area.
All this while you enrich your experience with the many events of the Carnival season, the city’s amazing local tourism offerings, and many other attractions in the surrounding area.
Barranquilla is perfectly located at the geographical center of five tourism jewels: Cartagena, Santa Marta, Parque Tayrona, Sierra Nevada, and Palomino — world-class destinations just an hour away.
Leave behind the darkness and snow of the North, that January aburrido blue, and jump straight into Barranquilla’s unstoppable party vibe —the biggest party on Earth. Therefore, it was declared by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity
¡Quien lo vive es quien lo goza!
Once in a lifetime.
What are you waiting for ?
¡ Only in Barranquilla !
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Barranquilla Nomad Paradise is designed for those who don’t want to be spectators, but to live the real vibe, fully immerse themselves in the Barranquilla Carnival, and connect in a high-energy Caribbean environment where creativity, culture, and celebration are part of everyday life.
